hello my name is Danny ghost and I have the distinct honor of being principal here at North Lee Elementary School North Lee has a tradition of Excellence it is a school for students in please come first where love and relationships are top most priority I welcome you today to North Lee Elementary enjoy the tour North Lee Elementary has always had a reputation of being a school of excellence I am extremely proud to be part of this great school we have achieved recognition for being named a 10ft rewards school and are school ranked High an academic achievement there are many factors that contribute to Our Success three characteristics Stand Out In My Mind One are involved and supportive parents we have an active PTO that works tirelessly raise funds for our school they have provided many things for us throughout the years to the latest contributions have been our Chromebook carts and a new state-of-the-art playground parents feel welcomed at Northlake to help out in any way and be a part of their child's Gratz stack it are caring and dedicated faculty and staff we are blessed here at North Lee with people who passionately love children the heart of our teachers give to meet the needs all of our students we are constantly working together within our school to ensure that our students are receiving the best educational experience possible we strive to go above and beyond to show our enthusiasm learning and teaching and last but not least are kind of motivated student North Lee students are the best they are always thinking of ways to help out others in our school community and find most of our students are involved in after-school activities which make them a well-rounded person our students also expelling academics and our test scores are hot knives they meet the height spectations for them and often asked for more northley students are prepared to be lifelong Learners and productive citizens North Lee has been is and will continue to be a school of excellence your ship is something we prioritize highly at North Lee Elementary School the students have several opportunities throughout the school year to show leadership the first opportunity is for 5th grade through the safety patrol program controllers each morning open the door for students as they arrive at school they greet the students they can meet the parents take the patrollers also kind of man the hallways make sure students are safe and where they need to go another job that said different colors have here in Northlake is in the some of them will open the doors for students to help assist them getting their breakfast and that's a great way for 5th graders to have an opportunity for leadership another great way that we show leadership here at Northway is due our leader the month program each month is student nominates one student that has shown some type of leadership throughout that month another way we have leadership here at North Lee is our fourth grade Mentor program I sign the fourth grade student with the kindergartener or first grade students and they meet with the student once a week throughout the entire school year they will go to that meant his classroom they will work on academics the work whatever the teacher thinks that that child might need a little assistance with that's what the 4th grade Mentor does northley we do a really exciting thing and it's called the house system the house system is where we've taken every student beginning at kindergarten and they got to come to a big assembly and they spin a wheel and they are signed a colors for different colors assigned to four different houses and in this house system it's a way to show leadership by helping others and the goal is for the students to earn point by completing certain Essentials some examples of Essentials of students are trying to work for or saying please and thank you yes sir no sir yes ma'am no man just basic responsibilities and respect at the centrioles are comprised we always have competitions between the four houses we have House Parties we have those parties four times a year it's just a wave involving everyone and being kind and showing respect response each other personally I feel like I'm part of the family when I walk into the doors of the school because I'm working with people that love and care for not just the students but their families and not just families of the students but the families of the staff the teachers those that come in and out of the school are they come in and they are cared for as a parent my children are incredibly important to me I don't just put them in the hands of just anybody I care about who are the people that are pointing into my my children I have experienced the love that is given to every student and and their families I worked jobs for people just punch the clock and did their job and went home for the North Lee it was completely different and they're all here to serve and in love the students to support each other we want to love and support every family that walks into the doors of North Lee Elementary School and it shows here among our North Lee family very soon
