NOTICE OF INTENT TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR THE 2019 21ST CENTURY COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTERS GRANT

RE:  Notice of Intent to Submit an Application for the 2019 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant. (21st CCLC)

In accordance with the application instructions from the Tennessee Department of Education, the Bradley County School System hereby submits a public notice, of its intent to submit an application for the 2019 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) After School Programs grant for public schools to be served from qualifying students from our 11 Bradley County School’s elementary schools at the Big City University Facility.

The purpose of the 21st CCLC Program, as described in the federal statute, is to provide opportunities for communities to establish or expand activities that focus on:

  1. Improved Academic Achievement by attaining proficiency or better in reading/language arts and mathematics.
  2. Positive Behavior Changes that support Academic and Social Growth
  3. Decrease the percentage of students who are chronically absent from school
  4. Promotion of family engagement activities embedded in all aspects of the programming.
