Bradley County Schools’ Future Ready 1:1 Initiative, meaning one device for every student in the district, requires two forms to be completed for all students - The Student Acceptable Use Policy and Student Device Contract.

Hi, I’m Scott Webb, Bradley County Schools’ Director of Technology.

The Student Acceptable Use Policy details what Bradley County Schools deems appropriate use of technology. The Student Device Contract is an agreement between families and the district outlining expectations and terms of using technology devices provided by Bradley County Schools.

BOTH The Student Acceptable Use Policy and The Student Device Contract are required to be signed by the student and parent or guardian. Please make sure you read through the two policies entirely. These forms are available on the Future Ready Website to print or complete online. Please visit the Future Ready website by going to bradleyschools.org and click the Future Ready link.

Bradley County Schools is also offering an additional Device Insurance for all students. This charge serves as an insurance policy and covers the cost of all regular maintenance of software and hardware for the device for one year and covers the first incident of accidental damage. This charge does not cover the loss of the device, cosmetic damage, or damages caused by intentional misuse or abuse. If families elect to not purchase the insurance, families will be responsible for any damage associated with the device. The charging cord that comes with the device is not covered by this charge and the replacement cost is the parents/students responsibility.

Internet safety is an element of Digital Citizenship that is a vital part of the Future Ready plan and our commitment to keeping students safe online.The District uses a program called Impero, allowing real-time monitoring of district-owned devices and accounts whether on or off campus.  More information about Impero will be provided on the Future Ready site.

Schools will be releasing their plan for distribution of devices. Each school is a little bit different, so please reach out to your school or check the school’s website or social media page to determine how and when device distribution will take place. Please note that BOTH the Acceptable Use Policy and Student Device contract are required BEFORE students can be assigned a device.
