good afternoon I come to you today with a heavy heart knowing that we will not be together again this Academic Year while I understand this is disappointing news for everyone myself included it was somewhat expected by many due to the continued change their current Health crisis will be felt by everyone but no we are committed to making the best of a difficult situation I along with our school board leadership team and staff will continue to develop contingency plan with the school closure announcement we know there are many uncertainties and today I would like to address many of those many have asked the school year will be extended and will students have to repeat their current grade the answer is no the school year would not be extended and students on track for cremation will be promoted students that are not on track or need remediation have been working with teachers on an individual basis and a plan has been established remote learning will continue pending board approval on Thursday April 23rd seniors last official day will be Friday May 8th the last day for all students will be Friday May 15th learning packets will be available available through normal distribution for the last time on Monday May 11th the meal assistance program will continue through Friday May 22nd the normal schedule and distribution methods will be followed the class of 2020 is special and they deserve to be celebrated as a previously we have schedule Tom and have set alternative graduation dates for June and July it's cool because communication with families and students on confirm dates and pick up times four tickets and Captain we will continue to engage students to cry alternative celebration for milestones open kindergarten graduation and moving up ceremony from elementary to middle and Middleton High School individual school will be communicating with families and dates and events all schools will tell CJ and process the week of May 18th for students to pick up personal belongings and return devices and other school related items communication will be forthcoming when days and times are solidified please reach out to the central office are your individual schools that any questions are concerned many have asked about the registration process current students will automatically roll and do not need to do anything to register all paperwork will be up to at the start of the new school year middle and high schools are currently working on students schedules and will be contacting students current 5th and 8th graders not following their feeder pattern need to register in the online process welcome all new and Adam student and would love for you to be a part of the Bradley County School System please follow the online registration process if you need assistance please contact Bradley County Schools we all of us will continue to be in FedEx create an amazing New Normal together this is something very different yet we will adjust and make the best of this situation as we do in all cases that telling us thank you again for your patience and flexibility every travel this journey we are Bradley County schools and we are better together thank you
