Updated PIE Center Video 2020 - The PIE Innovation Center will create an innovative student experience through collaboration with business, industry and nonprofit organizations changing learning pathways, providing experiential learning in STEM, embedded work-based learning experiences and promotion of design thinking.

the pie Innovation Center moving from a dream to reality July of 2017 progress toward funding the warm dark shell as a pie Center continues and goals have been accomplished in March of 2019 the Bradley County Board of Education approved 1.3 million dollars and Governor Lee dead what is 1 million to the pie Center continued work with the County Commission led to their support and additional 12 million dollar to the Pi Projects local Industries have expressed will the Ford and are committed to strong for the development at the pine Center has soon all ages at the core with the goal of providing Regional company with the future Workforce I'm very excited about the passenger in the future that it holds for a community I think it's an integral part of their Economic Development strategy that were moving into for the next decade we have tremendous Career and Technical education programming as it's currently structured but one thing we recognized as we go out and meet with existing industry and work with are potential industries that are evaluating this rage in their Community is that after we address the land availability issued the next topic of discussion is what are you doing music Community to create the workforce that will made future I think the pie Center is a great example of casting of vision and out-of-the-box thinking at that in the end result will provide our students with the type of skilled education they need to fulfil those goodbye jobs in the local job market what the pie Center gives the center for sports medicine is a place where we can have a a spinner of collaboration where we have our athletic trainers we ever sports physical therapist we ever fishing we have a strength and conditioning coach do all comes together for the best interest of the athlete that's the true model of sports medicine that's that's what we strive to do and what we've been successful in and and other are the person that gives its ability certainly enough space in the blank canvas to create that are going to be a great partner for Wright brothers in the aspect of helping educate our youth to the job ready when they graduate school and in today's world we're finding that the kids aren't following father's to the work anymore and and where we've been preaching so much about college being the end-all cure-all for for upsetting yourself up for success in the future when in reality we we forgot about our trades and so this partnership is I believe going to be a great win for for everyone involved because we still need people to build then we we still need people to do electrical work in mechanic work and depay Center I think it's going to fill that Niche and it's as I travel around the state I see so many more opportunities what do you want people talking about skating in the trays so we believe this partnership is going to be fantastic intentional to make sure that the students have good access but that they're also having dignity when they're going to have that access and so when they go to have mental health counseling or when they go to express in me but they may have at home they're ensuring that that child has a safe place to explain what situation is there in what what I can do to help then I think when we look at a holistic approach to art for children we are producing healthy and ready adults for the world Community because our community needs a solution the Naples are local businesses to maintain a stable work force and provide an opportunity to grow without disrupting other local businesses and our current environment growth and stability are only achieved at the expense of disrupting local businesses and that's been happening for a while now in Bradley County the answer for our community is building a larger available Workforce and a pipeline of local talent the way we are going to obtain that work forces with leaders in business and education working together to recruit and retain young people in our community providing career awareness exposure anime is vital to systematically addressing the word for skill shortages in our region and prepares all students for Life After High School at Ralston Elementary steam Academy we are committed to that Hands-On connected learning this will be and Bradley County Schools through the Paw Center we are laying the foundation for our students we know that this type of learning bills excitement and engagement and enthusiasm in the passenger we'll just continue what to build on that trajectory for our student programs in fact at our school the demand for Sam is so high for incoming 6th graders each year that we can only accommodate a small fraction of those that one in the program others must wait until they're 7 or 8. Year in are stem class we help students take that next step to dive deeper into relevant and rig projects and activities that will prepare them for stem Pathways in high school with the development of the pie Center our students can have access to more technology and Equipment as well as a chance to develop relationships with industry professionals indifference temperature the pie Center will fuel the passion and purpose for learning in Middle School having the pie center of a building of that size and wired that way design purposefully with giving students different areas in which to explore different types of post-secondary opportunities it it's just a game changer for us here Walker Valley High School what I like about it is that they can still be Walker Valley Mustangs and engage those types of they have the academic components that we have to offer here but then they're able to expand into a variety of other elements at the pie Center we want to make sure that students have as many access points into post-secondary life and we can create and the pie Center does that that's something that I thoroughly believe will be a benefit to all of our students in Bradley County Schools I was heavily involved in the development of the pie Nation Center I'm so excited about the Future Part in the Straz we have made over the past two years we are fortunate here at Bradley Central High School that have programs such as Machining and Welding however when the opening of The Passenger it will allow more soon Hands-On training with a state-of-the-art equipment in Industry Supervision in these areas as well as many others The Innovation Center will give our students skill training in a purpose while providing industry the future Workforce excited to share this vision and progress with you teachers I want to remind you what an integral part you play in the success of student the pie Center in Bradley County Schools we are eager to see our dreams come to fruition as we grow students and Bill features
