Director of Schools
It is with great pride that I welcome you to the 2019-20 school year. Whether you are new to the district or returning, I want you to know that your children are in the capable hands of a highly-focused workforce committed to making Bradley School District the most progressive and successful school district in the state. Like all successful organizations, BC is constantly evaluating where we are and where we need to go. With student success at the center of all we do, it is important to constantly look for improvement. Our staff of highly qualified professional educators and support personnel is committed to providing our students many opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom. We invite and encourage students and parents to work in partnership with us to Take out the word “to” as we strive for excellence at all levels.
We have taken great strides towards realizing our mission of providing educational opportunities for every student to excel. Our goal of having 90% of our third-grade students proficient in reading and our goal of achieving a 21 average on the ACT will lead our students to higher success rates beyond high school. We have supported STEM education through programs like STEM on the Greenway. BC has two state recognized STEM schools, Parkview and Charleston. With the growing epidemic with vaping and opioids, Dr. Cash developed a student group group called Unplugged, with students from Walker Valley and Bradley, who lead a district wide drug free campaign and Red Ribbon Week was reinstated county wide.
During the 2019-20 school year, Bradley County Schools will continue to build upon and enhance our proven foundation of good work, honored traditions, and continued focus on students. Our vision … Growing Students – Building Futures exemplifies what we are about. We want the best opportunities for each student today and in the future.
