Thank you for visiting the Bradley County Schools Department of Special Services web page. Our purposes include the identification of preschool children ages three through five and school-age students ages five through twenty-one suspected of a disability.
Our goal is to provide every child with special needs a high-quality education regardless of their ability or background and provide services and programming that enable each child to become a productive and independent member of society.
WE BELIEVE
- All children learn best when schools and parents form partnerships on their behalf; and
- Every child has valuable contributions to make to their school and their community that should be recognized and nurtured.
- All children benefit from meaningful access to the general education curriculum
Disability Categories in Tennessee
A student who is eligible for special education services in the state of Tennessee must be identified in one of the following categories and display a need for special education services.
