Family Activity Night

PE4life contributes to improved fitness, social behavior, and learning readiness of children by inspiring and empowering schools and their communities to be catalysts for change in advancing quality physical education. 


Special Guest Speaker:  ** Sherry Webb Reece **

Ms. Reece holds BS and M. Ed. from Lee University in the Area of Science and Educational Leadership. She also holds an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant Certification. 

In addition to teaching high school science, Ms. Reece also works for the Cleveland Family YMCA conducting group Weight Management Classes, which have been a great success.


4:10 p.m.            Group Fitness (15 Min) - Cupid Shuffle, Cotton-Eyed-Joe, Muscle Conditioning, Pilates)

4:30 p.m.            For Parents                                                                                                    "Childhood Obesity"

6:00 p.m.            Family Games (Facts Chase, blog, Cones, Dead Ants)

Sport Wall, additional circuit activities

Parents, try your hand at some of the activities your child gets to experience during P.E. at OMS. 

Can you "out-do" your child on our Climbing Wall or Sports Wall?  Have fun trying!

We will also have displays from several community organizations and businesses promoting activities that families can do together to help stay "Fit4Life".
